Mr. Jesse Dzidzorli Blakor is a coordinator of Psych Corps responsible for recruiting and training undergraduate psychology students for their national service. He is also a licensed clinical psychologist and was a graduate assistant at the Department of Psychology, University of Ghana, Legon. Mr. Blakor is a highly skilled and dedicated mental health professional with demonstrated success in providing exceptional care and implementing effective treatment plans for patients with varying mental health disorders. He uses his strong sense of compassion, confidentiality and effective communication skills to help build strong client relationships. He has a demonstrated track record of success working with diverse population in one-on-one therapy and group settings. His area of research interest is in mental health implications of climate change. Mr. Blakor completed his undergraduate education in University of Ghana, Legon, where he graduated with honors in psychology. He went on to obtain a Master of Philosophy degree (MPhil.) in clinical psychology from the same institution. | |
Mr. Nutifafa Dey is one of the coordinators of Psych Corps Ghana with cumulative professional experience in research, teaching, and practice. He previously tutored undergraduate students at the Department of Psychology, University of Ghana. Nutifafa is committed to the agenda of bridging the wide mental health treatment gap, demystifying and destigmatizing mental health in Ghana. He achieves this by using his skillset in advocacy and psychoeducation to provide mental health awareness. He is a budding researcher who has worked primarily as a research assistant on a couple of local and international research projects. In 2020, he joined the Ethics for Mental Health Digital Innovation for Young People in Africa (EMDIYA) network as an Early Career Researcher. His current research interest focuses on the resilience and wellbeing of children particularly those rescued from trafficking and child labour. Nutifafa holds degrees in BA Psychology and MPhil Clinical Psychology from the University of Ghana. At his leisure time, he enjoys hiking and spending quality time with his friends. |
