Mental Health Ghana
Bringing Psychology into Communities
Bridging the gap in mental health care treatment, through psych education and psychological first aid.
Learn MoreWe are motivated by the fact that the principles and methods of psychological care can ease the pain of mental illness and that psychology graduates armed with these can make a big difference to the lives of individuals, families and communities, and change the way health care is delivered in Ghana.
Bringing Psychology into communities
Students are recruited from final year Psychology programmes of public universities who go on to do National Service after training in Psychology First Aid.
We give students an orientation in Psychological First Aid, Ethics of working in communities and How to support people with serious mental illness. We also give some coaching for psycho-education.
